Patient safety is one of our top priorities so that our patients can relax knowing we do our utmost to keep you safe. We are in compliance and strictly observe all of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines. We make sure our staff wears masks, gloves, and glasses during all treatments. All of the instruments in the office are cleaned, disinfected, and routinely sterilized as recommended by both the American Dental Association and the Centers for Disease Control. The drills are sterilized with a sterilization unit that is specifically designed for this purpose. We also make sure that all of the treatment rooms are cleaned and disinfected after each patient.
Anxiety about going to the dentist plagues a lot of people. You are not alone if you are suffering from anxiety. We understand your concerns and do our very best to put your mind at ease and make every dental visit you have a very comfortable one. Our office uses not only topical and local anesthetic, but if you are especially nervous, we also provide nitrous oxide (laughing gas) to those that need it. If there is anything else that could make your visit more comfortable, we would love to hear from you.
We understand that everyone has a busy schedule and might not take the time they need to go to the dentist. To alleviate any problems we offer early morning, lunchtime, and late afternoon appointments. We also understand that emergencies can happen at any time and Dr. Goodarzi is available through his pager 24 hours a day for extra convenience.
Regular dentist visits allow for the plaque and tartar build up to be removed that occurs naturally. The frequency of your visits to our office depends on your individual needs and your personal oral health. This will be determined during your visit to our office.
During your visit we update your medical history, perform an oral cancer screening exam, check your teeth for cavities, review oral hygiene instructions, and monitor your gums’ condition. Additionally, fluoride treatments are provided for children under the age of thirteen and for certain adults based on your individual needs.
